While I did apply some adjustments to this: saturation and a bit of blurring on focus off of the main subject, I did just like how busy this flower was between pollen, water drops and the markings on the plant itself.
Sometimes you also just have to take the pictures that the places you visit expect you to. On my trip to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens today, they had several additional HUGE topiaries. I’ve got 2 here – the orangatang and the frog. I really like both of these, if you haven’t seen the topiaries last year – make sure you get there this year. And the roses are still blooming! And there is (and I may post one each day) a sculpture of the four seasons, I found these to be very good.
I think these came out pretty good – considering – there was quite a breeze and this butterfly was not settling in anywhere – he never stopped moving. I actually like the one where you don’t see all of the butterfly – it looks to me like a brightly colored fabric got caught up in the flower – hope everyone likes the pic.
From Monday night on, we have had heavy winds and driving rain. things flying by my window had caught my eye, but it wasn’t until it dried up (for a moment) and I went to add seed to the feeders that I saw it. Just about all the blooms had been stripped of the crab apples and laid in a layer on the lawn. Covered it so much that it looked like snow – just pink.
