not only have I enjoyed taking pictures of the birds, I’ve been watching them go about their business as well.  I’ve come to an appreciation for how hard they work to get their food – even when it is from a feeder.  The tufted tit-mouse really likes the berries and in this photo you can see that after he breaks it open he has to keep a good grip on it so it doesn’t hit the ground.  The other bird (and I think it is a house wren but haven’t confirmed) …. first took his seed to the tree and laid it down on the branch very gently.  then had to pick it up and break it open, and they have to do this without dropping it.
